You might have read one of our last posts about vodka popsicles, so we thought we’d follow that with one of our team’s favorites for Friday Happy Hour at the office, JELL-O Shots! It’s hard to say no to a JELL-O shot. They come in sooo many flavors, have their own little cup like a cup cake, and one slurp and it’s gone.
Keep reading…and in about ten minutes you will own the secrets of JELL-O shot making. A JELL-O shot is possibly the most entertaining of all drinks and despite what some may suggest, it is awfully simple to make. (Note: For those of you who are not familiar with JELL-O shots) A JELL-O shot is a portion of JELL-O that contains a very high level of alcohol. Swallowing chunks of this JELL-O is an entertaining way of ingesting a generous amount of alcohol without the pain of tasting it.
Step 1: What you need
a) 1 box of JELL-O powder
b) 1 cup of boiling water
c) 1 cup of ice cold Lust-Vodka (the colder, the better)
a) A big bowl
b) Any kind of container you want to serve your shots in. (I recommend plastic shooters or plastic cups).
c) A measuring cup that can measure at least 1 cup.
Step 2: Mix them up
1- Empty the Jell-O pouch into the big bowl.
2- Add 1 cup of boiling water.
3- Stir vigorously until the powder is completely dissolved. (Note: Step 3 is crucial if you want to avoid the awful skin that you find sometimes at the bottom of your JELL-O)
4- Add 1 cup of ice cold alcohol and mix well again. (Note: The colder your alcohol is, the better the result. Keep your bottle of Lust-Vodka in the freezer for several days before making shots. And don’t believe the skeptics…the bottle won’t blow up.)
Step 3: Slurp them down with friends
