THE MELON CUCUMBER – TINI

Surprisingly, melons and cucumbers combine well for a unique flavor and aroma. One of our favorite candle scents around the office has been cucumber-melon for a long time, and now this is one of our favorite melon-flavored vodka cocktails at Lust HQ.

Ingredients:

♥ 2 ounces Lust Vodka

♥ ½ ounce melon liquor

♥ ½ ounce simple syrup

♥ Fresh cucumber

Preparation:

♦ Muddle a few slices of cucumber over ice in a mixing glass.

♦ Pour muddled cucumber, vodka, melon liquor, syrup and ice in cocktail shaker.

♦ Strain into a chilled cocktail glass, and garnish with a cucumber slice.

 

 

THE TEA-TINIteatini

 

We really like this Tea-Tini on spring and summer afternoons when a light, short drink is called for. Use a light iced tea for this refreshing Vodka Martini and, of course, fresh squeezed lemon juice.  This martini also begs for a splash of flavor and adding a small amount of berry, lavender, rosemary, or chamomile to the steeping tea is a winner.

Ingredients:

♥ 1 ¾ ounces Lust-Vodka

♥ 1 ounce sweet iced tea

♥ ¼ ounce fresh lemon juice

♥ Lemon wedge for garnish & Sugar for rimming

Preparation:

♦ Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes and shake well.

♦ Strain into a chilled glass rimmed with sugar & garnish with lemon wedge.

 

THE CORIANDRUM

A simple twist on a Vodka Martini, all you need to make the Coriandrum is some coriander syrup.  The herbal flavors of coriander shine in this cocktail.  The Coriandrum uses a simple coriander-flavored nectar by infusing agave nectar with coriander seeds (recipe below). While simple syrup could be used in place of the nectar, it tends to produce a cocktail that is almost too sweet and contradicts the spice of the coriander.

Ingredients:

♥ 2 ounces Lust-Vodka

♥ 1/4 ounce Vermouth

♥ Splash of coriander nectar (recipe below)

♥ Splash of orange bitters

♥ Coriander seeds and Lemon Twist for garnish

Preparation:

♦ Pour the vodka, vermouth, nectar, and bitters into a shaker filled with ice.

♦ Shake for 30 seconds and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

♦ Garnish with a few coriander seeds and lemon twist.

 

(Recipe For Coriander Nectar)

Ingredients: 1 cup coriander seeds; 4 cups water; and 1 1/4 cup Madhava Organic Agave Nectar:  Preparation:  Cook coriander seeds and water on very low heat for 30 minutes.

Remove form heat, and Add agave nectar and mix well.  Allow to steep for a few hours, testing for flavor, when the desired flavor is achieved, strain out the seeds.
